The revival of lowriding in Las Vegas continues with the much-anticipated annual car show put on by the Goodtimes Car Club. This year’s Summer Showdown had something for everyone. Even the scorching 110-degree Sin City heat could not keep the eager spectators away.
Plenty of vendors were on hand to receive the many car clubs and solo riders there to display their latest creations. Klique, Dukes, Riders 4 Life, and Lowrider Style were out in full force. The Pachucos Car Club brought out some of their classic bombs, but it was one of their members, Cande, who really stole the show by manning the grill all day. It was a nice touch to see one of the heavy hitters serving up some good barbecue, setting the tone for this community event.
Las Vegas’ own Black Magic Hydraulics and Pops Tire shop made sure their presence was felt. Goodtimes Car Club, whose chapters came to represent all the way from Texas and Seattle, were just among the many spectators who would go on to enjoy this family friendly event. Another great summer day would conclude with hopping and cruising, as well as great conversation and the meeting of fellow lowriders. Many in attendance were already looking forward to coming back next year.
